Short Term Rust Preventative and Dewatering Fluid
Trent Microcore STIO is a blend of solvents, dewatering agents and film forming material which is combined to provide the user with a short term, inter-operational dewatering and corrosion inhibitor. After the evaporation of the solvent it leaves a thin, oily film deposit which provides short term protection when applied correctly to Ferrous components.
Application
May be used as a short term dewatering and anti-corrosion fluid, for the protection of ground or machined Ferrous components between operations. Short term indoor corrosion protection prior to packaging.
Application Method
Application can be made by brush, cold dip or spray. For maximum economy in use a purpose built dipping/dewatering tank would be recommended. Dipping tanks should be fitted with lids to help reduce evaporation. When applied via spray method spraying should be conducted at low pressure in well ventilated areas to prevent the build up of solvent vapours. Allow products to drain upon removal from tanks. Do not dip products that are hot. May be removed if required by using an Alkaline Aqueous Cleaner or Solvent based cleaners.
